Unique wooden robot made from the transport crates of the Rijksmuseum. Nice for the home or the nursery. Also very nice as a maternity or birthday present
The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam has been closed for a long time for a major renovation. All the art treasures were carefully stored in transport boxes, and some of these beautiful works have traveled all over the world. The Rijksmuseum is open again and now the crates are no longer needed. The Rijkswachters give the transport boxes a new life.
All Rijkswachters are handmade and made from part of a transport crate. As a result, every Rijkswachter has his own look and none are the same. But you can choose the Rijkswachter you want. Select a color/version; the photo you see is of the Rijkswachter that you receive. The arms of the smallest Rijkswachter can be moved.
- size: 13 cm high, 10 cm wide, belly 5,5 cm thick
- material: wood from the transport crates of the Rijksmuseum
- color: natural wood, with varying color/print
Every Rijkswachter extra small has his own story. By entering the number on the back of your Rijkswachter here, you will discover which art treasure was protected by this Rijkswachter when the Rijksmuseum was renovated.
