founded | maison KOOS was founded by Kirsten Oosterwaal, married to the sweetest and mother of 2 nice, perky kids. The idea for maison KOOS arose some years before during her honeymoon where she encountered a beautiful Greek brand, which was not yet available in the Netherlands. In her head she visioned a nice web store with this brand along with all kinds of other beautiful products that you would not find on every street corner. At first it remained an idea but after years of working in retail and commercial services, Kirsten was ready for something new. The seed that was planted in Greece at that time blossomed again. At the end of January 2016, maison KOOS went live: a web shop full of carefully selected and unique products.

Sustainability is an important criterion for maison KOOS. We want to sell something special and timeless, but in as honest a way as possible. That is why we are also looking for our products to be as environmentally friendly as possible, preferably handmade and with the use of natural materials. "
